Vehicle Fitment

  • Universal Fitment - Compatible with custom brake builds using a 3.50 in centered lug mount and rotors between 11.75 in and 12.72 in diameter x 0.94-1.00 in wide
  • Direct drop-in replacement for all previous Wilwood Narrow Dynalite (NDL) calipers and competitive brand calipers with 3.50 in centered mounting tabs
  • Widely used in late model asphalt, modifieds, sprint cars, midgets, road racing, and off-road competition

Fitment Notes

  • Sold individually - order two for a complete axle application
  • Universal mount side - can be mounted front, rear, left, or right without orientation restriction
  • Lug mount type - requires compatible lug mount bracket with 3.50 in centered holes; verify before ordering
  • Accepts pad shapes 7816 and 7216 - verify pad availability in desired compound before ordering
  • Rotor width tolerance: 0.94-1.00 in; designed for 1.00 in nominal rotor width
  • Fluid inlet thread: 1/8-27 NPT
  • Optional Thermlock pistons (200-7554) available for high-heat applications requiring additional heat isolation

Features

  • Stress-flow forged from premium grade aluminum billet - grain structure realigned within the caliper contour for superior strength over machined billet
  • FEA-generated radial transition eliminates steps and shoulders between piston housings and bridges, increasing resistance to deflection and body separation under load
  • Five-bolt bridge design provides superior bridge strength and positive retention of top-loaded 7816/7216 pads - strongest caliper in its class
  • SRS stainless steel bridge plates eliminate pad gouging wear and extend caliper service life while dampening vibration harmonics that contribute to brake squeal
  • Internal fluid passages eliminate external crossover tubes for a cleaner, more reliable installation
  • Four corner bleed screws allow full air evacuation and universal mounting orientation (any front, rear, left, or right position)
  • Heavy-wall stainless steel pistons resist corrosion and slow heat transfer from pads for consistent pedal feel
  • Type III hard anodize finish provides superior wear resistance and surface durability over standard anodize

Product Description

The Wilwood 120-15255 is a Forged Narrow Dynalite (FNDL) 4-piston caliper - the strongest caliper in the narrow lug mount class and a direct replacement for all previous Wilwood Narrow Dynalite (NDL) calipers and competitive brands using 3.50 in centered mounting tabs. Built from stress-flow forged billet aluminum with an FEA-optimized radial transition body design, it delivers proven improvements in deflection resistance and clamping efficiency over all existing styles in this popular caliper size class.

The FNDL's five-bolt bridge design and SRS stainless steel bridge plates provide exceptional pad retention and bridge strength while eliminating pad-caused wear and reducing brake squeal. Four corner bleed screws allow the caliper to be mounted in any position without restriction, and internal fluid passages eliminate external crossover tubes for a cleaner installation. Compatible with pad shapes 7816 and 7216 across the full range of Wilwood PolyMatrix compounds (BP-10 through BP-45), and upgradeable to optional Thermlock pistons for high-heat competition applications. Sold individually.
