The Volant 18427 is a MaxFlow 5 closed box cold air intake system engineered specifically for the 2005-2015 Toyota Tacoma with the 2.7L L4 engine. Built around a Cross-Link polyethylene filter box larger than the factory unit, this system draws in a higher volume of colder ambient air from the fender area rather than the engine bay, using a high-velocity venturi filter adapter for a smooth, low-restriction transition through the MAF sensor.

The sculptured polyethylene air duct replaces the factory inlet's sound baffles and awkward bends with larger diameters and unique curves that improve airflow velocity and throttle response. The included oiled cotton gauze filter uses Volant's MaxFlow 5 media (filter part number 5129) for strong filtration efficiency, and high-performance silicone connectors paired with marine-grade stainless steel clamps provide a durable, long-lasting seal that resists cracking and deformation over time.
