Fitment Notes

• This is a UNIVERSAL component - measure the existing pipe outer diameter at the installation point to confirm a 3.0" ID fit before ordering. The coupling accepts 3.0" OD pipe at both ends.
• The TurboFlex (61006) includes an internal interlock liner and is designed for high-performance and forced induction applications. It is NOT the same as the LiteFlex series, which omits the liner and is rated for naturally aspirated use only.
• Overall length is 6.0" - verify adequate clearance in the installation location before ordering. Shorter (4") and longer (8") TurboFlex variants are available separately for different application requirements.
• Welding is required for installation - this coupling does not include clamps, flanges, or slip-fit hardware. The end caps are designed to be butt-welded into the exhaust system.

The Vibrant 61006 is a TurboFlex flexible exhaust coupling engineered for high-performance and forced induction exhaust systems requiring vibration isolation and thermal expansion compensation at a 3.0" pipe diameter. Unlike a standard unlined flex coupling, the TurboFlex incorporates an internal T304 stainless steel interlock liner that spans the full length of the flexible section - providing a smooth, continuous flow path for exhaust gases passing through the coupling. This liner eliminates the turbulence and pressure disruption that occurs when high-velocity exhaust gases encounter an unlined bellows interior, making the TurboFlex the correct choice for turbocharged and supercharged applications where exhaust flow characteristics directly impact turbo spool rate and system efficiency.

The coupling's primary mechanical function is vibration isolation - decoupling the engine's movement from the rest of the exhaust system to prevent the cyclic stress loads that cause fatigue cracking in manifolds, downpipes, and midpipe welds over time. Engine torque reaction, thermal expansion, and idle vibration all transmit directly to rigid exhaust connections; the TurboFlex absorbs these inputs and prevents them from accumulating as stress at fixed weld joints.
