Product Description

The Vibrant 60808 is a TurboFlex exhaust flex coupling in 2.5 in. inside diameter and 8 in. overall length, engineered specifically for high-performance and forced induction exhaust applications. The internal stainless steel interlock liner provides a smooth exhaust gas flow path through the flex section while protecting the flexible bellows corrugations from the elevated exhaust temperatures common in turbocharged and supercharged systems - a critical advantage over standard flex couplings that use only a braid liner. The lightweight outer wire mesh constrains bellows expansion under boost-elevated exhaust pressures for controlled, predictable flex movement.

Flex couplings are installed inline in the exhaust system to absorb engine vibration and accommodate thermal expansion - reducing stress on welded exhaust joints, resonators, mufflers, and hangers that would otherwise fatigue and crack under sustained vibration loads. The TurboFlex design is the appropriate choice for forced induction builds where exhaust gas temperatures and flow velocities are significantly higher than in naturally aspirated applications.
