Product Description

The Vibrant 63006 is a Standard Flex Coupling in 3 in. inside diameter and 6 in. overall length, featuring an internal 304 stainless steel braid liner for smooth, laminar exhaust gas flow. The flexible bellows construction absorbs engine vibration and accommodates thermal expansion in the exhaust system - relieving stress on welded joints, manifolds, and downpipes that would otherwise fatigue and crack under sustained vibration loads. The inner braid liner protects the bellows corrugations from premature heat-related failure and eliminates the exhaust "whistle" that can occur when high-velocity exhaust gas flows through an unlined flex section.

This coupling is recommended for naturally aspirated applications. For forced induction builds where exhaust gas temperatures and pressures are significantly higher, Vibrant's TurboFlex Coupling series (608xx) with its stainless steel interlock liner is the appropriate choice. Available in I.D. sizes from 1.5 in. to 3 in. and lengths from 4 in. to 10 in. across the Standard Flex Coupling lineup, with custom sizes available on request. Installs via welding at both ends.
