Product Description

The Vibrant 22835 is a 5052 aluminum horizontal flow intercooler end tank assembly designed for use with Vibrant's horizontal intercooler core 12835. The 3-piece pre-formed assembly eliminates the most labor-intensive step of custom intercooler fabrication - forming and welding the end tanks from raw sheet metal - and is manufactured from 1/8 in. thick 5052 aluminum for the right balance of strength, weight, and weldability. The horizontal flow configuration routes charge air in one end tank and out the other, making it well suited for typical front-mount intercooler installations.

With a 3.5 in. maximum inlet/outlet I.D., 3.5 in. end tank height, and 27 in. full assembly width covering a 20 in. intercooler core width, the 22835 is sized for a wide range of common forced induction street and track builds using 3.5 in. charge air piping. The 5052 aluminum accepts standard MIG or TIG welding for straightforward final assembly to the intercooler core. Final welding to the core is required before use.
