Product Description

The Vibrant 27171 is a 4-ply aramid reinforced silicone straight sleeve coupler with a 3.5 in. inside diameter and a 12 in. length. The extended 12 in. length provides generous overlap on each side of the joint - delivering secure clamping surface for T-bolt or worm gear clamps while also accommodating minor angular misalignment between joined tubing sections. At 3.5 in. I.D., this coupler is sized for large-bore intercooler piping, turbo inlet connections, and high-flow air intake systems where 3.5 in. charge piping is used. The hand-wrapped aramid reinforcement between each ply of silicone resists swelling and bursting under sustained boost pressure and high-temperature conditions.
