Product Description

The Vibrant 2833 is a 4-ply aramid reinforced silicone straight reducer coupler that transitions from a 5.00 in. to a 6.00 in. inside diameter over a 3.50 in. overall length. At this scale, this is one of the largest diameter reducer couplers in Vibrant's silicone lineup - suited for large-bore intercooler ducting, turbo inlet connections on large frame turbochargers, and high-flow air intake systems where a straight inline diameter step-up is required without a directional change. The hand-wrapped aramid reinforcement between each ply of silicone resists swelling and bursting under the high-temperature conditions common in large-bore forced induction applications.

The 3.50 in. length provides adequate overlap on each side for secure T-bolt or worm gear clamp installation. All Vibrant Performance aramid reinforced silicone couplers meet or exceed SAE J20 specifications and are UV and ozone resistant. Maximum operating pressure is 10 psi - appropriate for large-bore low-pressure air and coolant ducting applications at this diameter. Not suitable for oil or fuel service - for air, boost, water, and coolant applications only. Sold individually.
