Description

Vehicle Fitment

  • Ford 9" third member differential with LM603011 carrier bearing races (3.062" O.D.), used in numerous Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury vehicles from 1957-1988, including:
  • Ford F-100 (1957-1983), F-150 (1975-1987), Bronco (1966-1986)
  • Ford Mustang (1965-1973), Thunderbird (1957-1979), Fairlane (1957-1970), Falcon (1960-1970)
  • Ford Galaxie/Galaxie 500 (1959-1974), Gran Torino (1972-1976), Granada (1975-1979), LTD (1965-1979), Ranchero (1957-1979)
  • Ford E-100/E-150/E-200/E-250 Econoline vans (1969-1988)
  • Lincoln Continental (1958-1979), Lincoln Mark III (1968-1971)
  • Mercury Comet (1964-1977), Mercury Cougar (1967-1979), Mercury Grand Marquis (1975-1980)

Fitment Notes

  • Fitment is determined by carrier bearing race number (LM603011, 3.062" O.D.), not by vehicle year/model alone - many of these platforms also received a different, smaller carrier bearing case in some years; confirm your bearing race number or measure carrier bearing O.D. before ordering
  • Application list above is representative, not exhaustive - the Ford 9" saw very broad use across Ford/Lincoln/Mercury platforms, and the manufacturer's own fitment data includes additional models beyond what's shown here
  • Designed for stock (non-Daytona) pinion support housings; a separate kit is required for Daytona-style pinion support 9" cases

Features

  • Complete master overhaul kit for the Ford 9" differential with LM603011 carrier bearing races
  • Built with Koyo bearings and races
  • Includes a complete pinion shim kit for accurate gear setup

Product Description

The Yukon ZK F9-C is a complete master overhaul kit for the venerable Ford 9" third member, one of the most widely used and swapped rear differentials in American performance and truck history. This kit is built specifically for 9" units with LM603011 carrier bearing races - a 3.062" O.D. bearing case found across a huge range of Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury cars, trucks, and vans built from the late 1950s through the late 1980s.

Because the Ford 9" was factory-installed across so many different platforms - and has been swapped into countless hot rods, muscle cars, and off-road builds outside its original application - correctly identifying your carrier bearing case is more reliable than matching by vehicle alone. This kit bundles everything needed for a full rebuild into one part number: carrier and pinion bearings and races, pinion seal, a complete shim kit, crush sleeve, ring gear bolts, and the thread locker, marking compound, and gasket needed for proper reassembly.

Built with Koyo bearings, it's designed to restore correct bearing preload and gear backlash after wear, a gear ratio change, or a locker/posi installation. This is a rebuild-support kit rather than a ring-and-pinion set, so it pairs with either your existing gears or a new gear set when changing ratio. Installation involves full disassembly of the differential and proper backlash/preload setup, so it's best suited for an experienced DIY installer or a differential shop.
