The Yukon ZK GM9.5-A is a complete master overhaul kit for the 1979-1997 GM 9.5" semi-float rear differential, found across a wide range of Chevrolet and GMC 1/2-ton through 1-ton trucks, Suburbans, and full-size vans of that era. Instead of piecing together bearings, seals, shims, and hardware separately, this kit puts everything needed for a full rear differential rebuild into one part number - carrier and pinion bearings and races, pinion seal, a complete shim kit, crush sleeve, and the fasteners and sealants needed for a clean reassembly.

Built with Timken bearings and races, this kit restores proper bearing preload and gear backlash after normal wear, or after installing new gears, a limited-slip unit, or a locker. Because GM used more than one 14-bolt rear axle design during this period, correctly identifying your differential as the 9.5" semi-float unit - rather than the similar-looking 10.5" full-float axle - is the key step before ordering.
