The Yukon ZA G8.2BOP-L is a USA Standard Gear left rear axle shaft engineered specifically for the GM 8.2" BOP (Buick / Oldsmobile / Pontiac) bolt-in rear differential. Spanning a broad range of classic GM muscle cars and personal luxury vehicles from 1964 through 1972 - including the Pontiac Firebird, GTO, Trans Am, Oldsmobile 442 and Cutlass, and Buick Skylark - this axle shaft is an essential drivetrain replacement for restorations, performance builds, and repair applications on these iconic platforms.

Machined from 1541 carbon steel, the ZA G8.2BOP-L delivers greater strength and fatigue resistance than the factory original shaft material, making it a worthwhile upgrade in addition to a direct replacement. At 29-7/8" in length with 28 inner splines, the shaft is dimensioned precisely for the left side of the GM 8.2" BOP housing. The bolt-in design eliminates the need for C-clip removal during installation and simplifies the axle change process. Two bearing spacers are included to allow compatibility with either sealed RW507CR bearings (using the 1/2" thin spacer) or Set 9 bearings (using the 0.826" thick spacer) - the correct spacer must be installed onto the shaft before the bearing is pressed on.

This axle is sold individually as the left (driver) side only; a separate part number is required for the right side. Axle bearings, seals, and wheel studs are not included and must be sourced separately.
