Features

  • Direct bolt-on replacement - no drilling or welding required
  • Corrects a known factory design flaw: the original bowl-shaped mount trapped water and caused rust
  • Open design allows water to drain from the strut bolt, helping extend front shock life
  • Multiple adjustment holes allow front roll center height tuning
  • Raising roll center height improves responsiveness and camber gain for better cornering
  • Compatible with factory and aftermarket upper a-arms
  • Fits factory-style shocks in the stock mounting location
  • Laser-cut from 3/16" USA steel - same weight as the factory mount
  • Durable black powder coat finish

Product Description

The factory upper strut mount on the 4th-gen Camaro and Firebird has a bowl-shaped design that traps water against the mount - a slow-motion rust problem that eventually weakens the mounting point and shortens shock life. The UMI 2336 replaces it with a fabricated mount that drains freely at the strut bolt, solving that failure point while matching the factory mount's weight and bolt-on simplicity.

Beyond fixing the rust issue, the added adjustment holes let you raise or lower the a-arm mounting point up to 3/8" to fine-tune front roll center height - useful for dialing in camber gain and cornering response without an aggressive alignment. It's a direct swap for anyone dealing with a corroded factory mount or looking to add some front-end tuning range at the same time.
