Vehicle Fitment

• Universal - No direct OEM vehicle fitment. Compatible with any custom turbocharged build using a standard 38mm 3-bolt external wastegate manifold provision.

Fitment Notes

• Traditional 3-bolt flange orientation - direct fit upgrade to all Turbosmart Gen4 38mm wastegates and compatible 3-bolt peer products using the same mounting pattern.
• 7 PSI base spring pre-installed - this is a lower base pressure setting suited to builds running boost control strategies that manipulate the reference signal to achieve higher boost targets. ECU tuning may be required depending on boost level.
• Weld flanges are NOT included - stainless or mild steel weld flanges must be purchased separately as GenV UltraGate38 accessories.
• Liquid cooling ports (1/8" NPT) are present but optional; the GenV thermal architecture operates reliably without coolant lines in most performance applications.
• Optional position sensor cap is available separately for closed-loop boost control data logging strategies.

Product Description

The Turbosmart TS-0551-1002 GenV UltraGate38 is the black, 7 PSI base spring version of Turbosmart's motorsport-proven 38mm external wastegate. The 7 PSI pre-installed spring makes this the preferred choice for builds using boost controllers or reference signal manipulation to achieve higher boost targets from a low mechanical base - the lower spring preload gives the boost control system a wider working window above the mechanical floor, allowing more dynamic range in closed-loop boost management strategies.

Built on the GenV ground-up redesigned platform, the UltraGate38 retains only the Gen4 mounting orientation for direct backward compatibility with all Turbosmart Gen4 38mm wastegates and compatible 3-bolt peer products. The Nitronic 60 valve guide and high-temp 347 stainless steel body deliver superior resistance to thermal fatigue under sustained high exhaust gas temperatures, while 17-7 PH stainless steel springs maintain consistent spring rates across an extended service life. All four spring options - 3, 5, 7, and 14 PSI - are included in the box, allowing base pressure to be easily reconfigured post-installation using the included master/slave collar tool.

Installation requires a turbo manifold with a standard 38mm 3-bolt wastegate provision. Weld flanges are not included and must be sourced separately in stainless or mild steel. The infinitely clockable actuator housing and 1/8" NPT ports on both the cap and base allow reference hose and optional coolant line routing in any direction needed. An optional position sensor cap is available as an accessory for advanced boost control data logging. This wastegate is well suited to a broad range of street and track builds where boost controller integration and low base pressure flexibility are priorities.
