Product Description

The Turbosmart TS-0604-1155 is a vIWG upgraded wastegate actuator built specifically for the R56 Mini Cooper S and John Cooper Works, delivering the maximum possible boost response for the factory frame turbocharger on the 1.6L Prince N14/N18 engine. An increased diaphragm surface area combined with revised spring leverage gives this actuator a greater Working Ratio than the factory unit, translating into noticeably improved boost response across the entire RPM range.

Running at the same base pressure as factory, drivers can expect a broader boost and torque curve, with peak boost arriving earlier in the RPM range and holding longer into higher RPM -- gains that can be amplified further with a higher base pressure setup, though tuning and recalibration is recommended to get the most out of it. A proprietary Silicon Nomex diaphragm, billet aluminum construction, and stainless steel rods and clevis are built to handle sustained boost and backpressure without fatigue.

Turbosmart's unique locking collar system allows for quick spring changes without disassembling the whole unit, making this actuator easy to fine-tune as a build progresses.
