Product Description

The Turbosmart FCD-1 (TS-0303-1001) is a pneumatic fuel cut defender designed to allow turbocharged vehicles to run higher boost levels without triggering the factory fuel cut protection system. Most factory ECUs monitor boost pressure via a MAP sensor and shut off fuel delivery if boost exceeds the OEM threshold - a safety measure that becomes an obstacle when boost is raised above stock levels. The FCD-1 intercepts the pressure signal between the intake manifold and the MAP sensor and adjusts it pneumatically, effectively raising the point at which the ECU perceives a fuel cut condition. No wires are cut, no ECU modifications are made, and off-boost fuel delivery is completely unaffected.

Installation is straightforward using the included hose, tee fitting, and mounting bracket. Once set, the adjustment collar can be locked to prevent unintentional changes. The FCD-1 is the pneumatic variant in Turbosmart's fuel cut defender range and is well suited to street-driven builds where a simple, no-wire solution is preferred.
