Fitment Notes

• The TU-EJ2-TXS400 is the EJ205/EJ20 (2.0L WRX and Legacy GT) fitment variant - it is NOT the same as TU-EJ-TXS400, which covers a broader EJ255/EJ257 fitment including 2008+ WRX and all WRX STI models
• Does NOT fit the 2008+ Subaru WRX (EJ255 2.5L) - the EJ255 uses a different turbo flange, oil feed routing, and water coolant connections
• Does NOT fit any WRX STI (EJ207/EJ257) - STI applications require a different variant
• The 52.5mm billet compressor inducer is sized to fit directly into the stock OEM turbo inlet hose with zero modification - no inlet hose upgrade is required for basic installation

The Turbo XS TU-EJ2-TXS400 is a 20G-class upgrade turbocharger engineered for the EJ205 2.0L and EJ20 Subaru platform - covering the 2002-2007 WRX, 2005-2009 Legacy GT, 2005-2009 Outback XT, and 2004-2008 Forester XT. This is the EJ2-specific variant of the Turbo XS 20G turbocharger, fitted for the 2.0L EJ20-based turbo mounting, oil, and coolant connections - distinct from the TU-EJ-TXS400, which is configured for the broader EJ255/EJ257 (2.5L) fitment including 2008+ WRX and WRX STI.

The defining feature of this turbocharger is its billet machined compressor wheel. At 52.5mm inducer / 68mm exducer, the compressor is sized to support power levels well beyond the factory VF-series turbos while retaining acceptable spool characteristics for a street-driven EJ205 build. Crucially, the 52.5mm inducer passes directly through the stock OEM inlet hose without modification - making this a direct-fit upgrade in terms of the inlet side. The 8cm² turbine housing is a balanced choice for the 2.0L EJ205 displacement: small enough to build boost pressure quickly through the RPM range for responsive street driving, while large enough to avoid choking exhaust flow at the power levels that the compressor can support. The result is a turbocharger that spools meaningfully faster than larger-housing options while still supporting approximately 470+ whp with a full E85 fuel system and appropriate supporting modifications.
