Fitment Notes

• Fits EJ-series turbocharged Subaru models only - does NOT fit the 2015+ WRX (FA20DIT engine) or any naturally aspirated Subaru variant

• Important PCV Diagnosis Port Note: This inlet hose bypasses the PCV Diagnosis Port. A simple, reversible jumper pin relocation is required at installation. Locate the PCV Diagnosis connector (grey or white depending on model year), positioned on the engine block near the throttle body. Use needle nose pliers to extract the jumper pin from the PCV Diagnosis connector - it requires only slight pressure to remove. Do NOT discard the pin. Reinsert it into the female harness plug that was connected to the PCV Diagnosis connector and secure with electrical tape. This is the only modification required for installation.
• The 2.4" hose diameter is larger than the OEM corrugated inlet - minor repositioning of adjacent components may ease installation; removing the intake manifold is not required but may simplify fitment for some installers

Product Description

The Torque Solution TS-SU-463BK is a 2.4" (61mm) 4-ply silicone turbo inlet hose engineered for EJ-series turbocharged Subarus - covering the 2002-2014 Impreza WRX, 2004-2018 WRX STI, 2005-2009 Legacy GT, and 2004-2013 Forester XT. The OEM turbo inlet hose on these EJ-platform vehicles uses a corrugated rubber construction: the accordion-style folds that give the OEM hose its flexibility also create turbulence and restriction in the airflow path between the airbox and the turbocharger inlet. As the rubber ages and hardens from sustained heat cycling, the corrugated sections also become brittle and prone to cracking - a common source of boost leaks on high-mileage EJ Subarus. The TS-SU-463BK eliminates both problems by replacing the OEM corrugated hose with a smooth-bore, wire-reinforced silicone unit that flows more freely, lasts significantly longer, and holds its shape under both positive and negative pressure.

The 2.4" internal diameter is notably larger than the OEM corrugated inlet, providing a wider, smoother air passage from the intake to the turbo's compressor wheel. The 4-ply silicone construction resists heat, UV exposure, and the repeated pressure cycling of a boosted cooling environment. Wire reinforcement runs throughout the hose wall to prevent collapse during high-boost positive pressure events and during the negative pressure (vacuum) conditions that develop at the compressor inlet during transient throttle events - a failure mode that unbraced silicone hoses can experience at higher boost levels. A black anodized billet aluminum coupler is included for the turbocharger connection, along with silicone-friendly stainless steel clamps that secure the hose without gouging.

Installation requires a simple, reversible PCV Diagnosis Port jumper pin relocation - the Torque Solution inlet bypasses this port, and the jumper pin must be moved to the female harness plug as described in the fitment notes.
