The Torque Solution TS-SS-022 is a short throw shifter engineered for the 6-speed manual transmission variants of the Nissan 350Z (2003-2008), Nissan 370Z (2009-2017), Infiniti G35 Coupe and Sedan (2003-2007), and Infiniti G37 Coupe and Sedan (2008-2013). These VQ-series powered RWD platforms share a common shifter assembly geometry, and the OEM unit's throw length is a long-standing point of friction for enthusiasts who want faster, more direct gear changes. The TS-SS-022 addresses this with a 37% reduction in throw distance - one of the most aggressive reductions in its class - combined with a 0.25" height reduction that brings the shifter knob slightly closer to the driver's natural hand position.

Construction is CNC-machined T-304 stainless steel TIG welded in a precision jig, delivering dimensional accuracy and corrosion resistance that outlasts chrome-plated chromoly alternatives. The ball bearing pivot is the most mechanically significant upgrade over the factory plastic pivot bushing: it replaces the friction-prone OEM interface with a rolling-element bearing that allows the shifter to move through the gate with reduced lateral resistance and a more precise, linear feel in every direction. The OEM Nissan 10x1.25 thread pitch at the tip is retained, so stock and aftermarket shift knobs install without adapters or thread chase work. All hardware is stainless steel throughout.
