Product Description

The Torque Solution TS-SS-005G is a complete short shifter and bushing combo kit engineered for the 2010-2015 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X. While the Evo X's 5-speed twin-clutch SST transmission is a technically advanced unit, the stock shifter assembly suffers from three well-documented mechanical weaknesses: excessive throw length relative to the transmission's performance character, a low and awkward shifter position relative to the driver, and accumulated play at the base bushings, shifter cable bushings, and gate selector pivot that makes the shifter feel imprecise and disconnected over time. The TS-SS-005G addresses all three simultaneously in a single kit.

The short shifter itself delivers a 32% throw reduction and a 1.25" height reduction versus the OEM unit, with the added benefit of shifting the factory offset to bring the shifter knob closer to the driver's natural hand position. It is machined from 4130 Chromoly steel (for pre-June 2014 production units) or T-304 Stainless Steel (post-June 2014) to CNC tolerances, and installs as a direct drop-in replacement in under 30 minutes. CNC 6061-T6 billet aluminum base bushings replace the factory rubber mounts at the shifter's base, eliminating structural flex at the foundation of the entire shifter stack. Delrin cable bushings restore tight, consistent engagement between the shifter and the shifter cable assembly. And the Delrin two-piece gate selector pivot bushing - one of the most important and often overlooked improvements on the Evo X platform - eliminates the lateral slop in the gate selector that causes the vague, wandering feel between gear changes on worn factory units.

This kit fits LHD Evolution X models only (2010-2015 Base and GSR trims) and is not compatible with RHD or JDM-spec Evo X variants.
