The Tein EDFC Active Pro (EDK04-Q0349) is the flagship controller unit in Tein's Electronic Damping Force Controller lineup, representing a significant step up from the base EDFC Active in both adjustment capability and automation sophistication. Where the standard EDFC Active controls damping force for the front and rear axles independently but adjusts left and right simultaneously, the EDFC Active PRO controls all four corners independently - allowing corner-by-corner damping tuning that can be set differently for each of the four shock absorbers. This level of granularity allows drivers to precisely tune the balance of the car to match specific circuit layouts, road conditions, or driving styles.

The automatic adjustment modes set the EDFC Active PRO apart from passive or manually adjusted systems. Longitudinal G-mode automatically firms damping under heavy braking and acceleration and softens it during steady-state cruising. Lateral G-mode - exclusive to the Active PRO - adds cornering G-force to the control loop, stiffening the suspension automatically when the car enters a corner and relaxing it on the straight. Speed-actuated mode adjusts damping as a function of vehicle speed via the speed pulse input. All of these modes can be combined and fine-tuned to produce a highly responsive, context-aware suspension system.
