Product Description

The Tein Street Advance Z (GSM32-9USS2) is a 16-stage damping-adjustable coilover kit for the 1993-1996 Mazda RX-7 FD3S. Built on the evolution of Tein's Street Advance platform, it pairs stiff, purpose-matched springs (10 kgF/mm front, 8 kgF/mm rear) with Advance Needle-equipped dampers to deliver a noticeably sporty suspension character well suited for an FD3S used on the street and occasionally at the track. The 16-stage damping adjustment allows the driver to dial the suspension from compliant to firm without tools, and Tein's EDFC system can be added optionally for in-cabin electronic adjustment.

One important installation note specific to this application: the OEM upper mounts must be modified using the file included in the kit before the coilovers can be installed. The factory upper mounts are not included and must be sourced separately or transferred from the existing struts. Ride height is adjusted via the ZT-coated threaded sleeve over a front range of 0.9 to 3.8 inches and a rear range of 0.5 to 3.5 inches below stock, with Tein recommending a 30-50 mm drop front and rear for optimal damper stroke and ride quality.
