The Tein Street Advance Z (GSMD0-9USS2) is a 16-stage damping-adjustable coilover kit for the 2016-2024 Mazda MX-5 Miata ND, covering both the Soft Top and RF (Retractable Fastback) body styles. It is the evolution of Tein's Street Basis platform, adding the critical upgrade of damping force adjustment via Tein's Advance Needle technology - a design that delivers a more perceptible, linear range of adjustment from soft to firm compared to conventional needle valves, giving the driver meaningful control over both ride comfort and handling character without requiring a tool.

The Street Advance Z is well suited for drivers who use their MX-5 for daily street driving and occasional spirited or track use, and who want the flexibility to adjust the damping to match changing conditions or driver preference. Ride height is adjusted via the ZT-coated threaded sleeve, with a lowering range of 0.5 to 3.5 inches front and 0.7 to 3.1 inches rear on the Soft Top. The kit uses the factory upper mounts (not included), and is compatible with Tein's optional EDFC system for in-cabin electronic damping control.
