• NB Miatas running a de-powered (disabled) power steering rack must still use this power steering rack version of the kit, not the manual rack version.
• Fits front suspension only; not applicable to rear suspension positions.

The SPL Parts SPL-TRE-NBPS Bumpsteer Adjustable Tie Rod Ends are a front suspension upgrade engineered specifically for 1999-2005 Mazda Miata NB chassis vehicles equipped with the factory power steering rack. When the NB Miata is lowered or aligned with increased negative camber for track use, the geometry of the OEM tie rod end no longer traces the correct arc relative to the lower control arm during suspension travel. The result is bump steer - an involuntary, unpredictable toe change as the suspension compresses or rebounds. The SPL-TRE-NBPS corrects this by allowing the outer tie rod end pivot point to be raised or lowered through the use of precision stainless steel spacers, restoring proper tie rod alignment and eliminating the dynamic toe variation that causes twitchy steering, reduced corner entry stability, and accelerated front tire shoulder wear.

Beyond bumpsteer correction, this kit adds genuine capability for drift and competition builds through the inclusion of stainless steel steering rack spacers that increase available front steering angle - a meaningful upgrade for any driver pushing the limits of lock. New inner tie rods are also included, making this a comprehensive front steering geometry package rather than a simple outer tie rod swap. The rod ends themselves use FK PTFE-lined spherical bearings manufactured in the USA, providing a maintenance-free, self-cleaning design that eliminates the flex inherent in OEM rubber tie rod end bushings. The 4140 Chromoly tapered studs are hardened and electroless nickel plated for corrosion resistance and a precise, rattle-free fit in the steering knuckle.

This kit is compatible exclusively with NB Miatas running the factory power steering rack, including cars where the power steering assist has been disabled or de-powered - those vehicles must still use this NBPS version, not the manual rack kit. A separate SPL kit is available for NB and NA Miatas equipped with the factory manual steering rack.
