Fitment Notes

• Sport Adaptive Steering (option code 2LV) required. M-model BMW G8X, G2X, and G42 vehicles equipped with Sport Adaptive Steering use the larger 16mm tie rod end - this is the correct application for TRE G8X. Non-M G2X/G42 trim levels without Sport Adaptive Steering use a smaller 14mm tie rod and require a different SPL part number. Verify your vehicle's steering option before ordering.
• Sold as a pair - one pair covers the front axle. One pair per vehicle required.
• Professional installation and a full wheel alignment are required after installation. Adjust bump steer spacers to achieve optimal bumpsteer correction at the intended ride height before performing final alignment.
• These tie rod ends do not replace the inner tie rods - they replace the outer tie rod end assembly only. The OE inner tie rods are retained.

The SPL Parts TRE G8X are bumpsteer adjustable front tie rod ends engineered for the BMW G87 M2, G80 M3, and G82/G83 M4 equipped with Sport Adaptive Steering (2LV) and the corresponding 16mm outer tie rod. By allowing the outer tie rod end pivot to be relocated using the included precision stainless steel spacers, these tie rod ends correct the dynamic toe change (bump steer) that occurs as the suspension compresses on lowered or track-prepared vehicles. Bump steer manifests as unintended toe changes during cornering and braking - correcting it results in more predictable handling, better stability over track curbing and rough pavement, reduced front tire shoulder wear, and improved lap times. On significantly lowered vehicles, the OE tie rod end geometry can also cause binding through the droop travel range, risking inner tie rod bending or breakage - the SPL TRE G8X eliminates this risk.

Weighing just 1.49 lbs per side - approximately 3% lighter than OEM - the tie rod ends are constructed from 6061-T6 billet aluminum, 4140 Chromoly steel, 304 stainless steel spacers, and Ti-6Al-4V blue anodized titanium hardware.
