Product Description

The SPL Parts SPL TRE G29 is a bump steer adjustable outer tie rod end kit for the 2020+ Toyota GR Supra (A90) and 2019+ BMW Z4 (G29). On the factory suspension, the outer tie rod end pivot height is fixed - as the vehicle is lowered, the tie rod moves at a different arc relative to the lower control arm, introducing toe changes as the suspension compresses and rebounds (bump steer). These unintended steering inputs are particularly noticeable mid-corner over bumps and during hard braking, where they can upset vehicle balance and reduce driver confidence. Correcting bump steer by relocating the tie rod pivot point is a fundamental step in building a correctly aligned, predictable suspension for both track and street use.

The SPL TRE G29 replaces the factory outer tie rod ends with a CNC-machined 6061-T6 billet aluminium curved turnbuckle fitted with FK PTFE-lined rod ends. The PTFE lining provides 26 degrees of smooth articulation with minimal friction, eliminating the binding that damages inner tie rods on significantly lowered cars with factory tie rod ends that cannot accommodate the changed geometry. The hardened 4140 chromoly tapered studs press precisely into the steering knuckle taper for a rattle-free fit. The included stainless steel spacers (1/2 in., 1/4 in., and 1/8 in.) allow the driver to incrementally adjust the pivot height to achieve optimal bump steer correction at their specific ride height.
