Product Description

The SPEC SC40A-2 is a tuned billet aluminum single-mass flywheel for the 2007-2010 Pontiac Solstice GXP, 2007-2010 Saturn Sky Redline, and 2007-2009 Opel GT Roadster equipped with the GM Ecotec LNF 2.0L turbocharged engine. This flywheel converts the restrictive factory dual-mass unit to a lightweight single-mass design, reducing rotating mass for quicker engine response and faster acceleration. Machined from the highest quality aluminum to industry-leading .001" tolerances, the SC40A-2 guarantees a perfectly flat seating surface for the clutch disc and smooth rotational qualities for excellent balance, drivability, and extended engine and clutch life.

This flywheel is designed exclusively for use with SPEC's proprietary non-ratcheting clutch kits -- it is not compatible with factory clutch components or other aftermarket clutch kits. When paired with a SPEC clutch kit, the package converts the vague factory SAC-type pressure plate to a SPEC exclusive billet 360-degree pivot unit with higher load and RPM capability, better drivability, and longer life than can be achieved with a modified factory design. SFI approved for competition use. Suitable for street driving, drag racing, drifting, road racing, autocross, rally, and time attack applications. Manufactured in Bessemer, Alabama by SPEC Clutch.
