Product Description

The SPEC SV87S is a lightweight single-mass steel flywheel for Volkswagen and Audi 2.0T FSI applications with the 02Q 6-speed manual transmission and 6-bolt flywheel pattern, including the 2006-2009 Audi A3 8P, 2006-2009 VW Golf/GTI Mk5, 2006-2013 VW Jetta, 2012-2013 Golf R, 2007-2009 Eos, and 2006-2012 Passat. At approximately 20 lbs, the SV87S maintains a close-to-stock rotating mass feel while converting the factory dual-mass flywheel to a single-mass design for use with SPEC's Grand Am Cup design clutch kits. The reduced rotating mass frees up horsepower and delivers improved throttle response and stronger acceleration, particularly in the lower gears.

Manufactured from high-quality billet steel to an industry-leading .001" machine tolerance -- the tightest on the market -- guaranteeing a perfectly flat seating surface for the clutch and smooth rotational qualities for optimal balance and extended engine life. This flywheel requires a SPEC clutch kit and will not work with OE or non-SPEC clutch assemblies. Some vehicles may experience increased transmission noise or NVH after conversion to a single-mass flywheel -- this is normal and varies from vehicle to vehicle. For 8-bolt TSI engine applications, use SPEC SV87S-4 (~16 lbs) instead. For a lighter, more aggressive option, the SPEC SV87A aluminum billet flywheel weighs approximately 9 lbs. SFI approved.
