This is a professional alignment shop tool - not a vehicle suspension part. It is used during the installation of SPC alignment cam kits where OE alignment inserts in the upper control arm bracket must be removed before the cam can be installed.
The center punch is designed for use on older GM vehicles and the 2007-2010 Jeep Wrangler JK. The offset punch is designed for use on newer GM models.

Product Description

The SPC 74910 Cam Knockout Punch is a purpose-built alignment shop tool designed to remove OE alignment inserts from upper control arm mounting brackets cleanly and without causing bracket damage - a necessary step when installing SPC cam kits on older GM trucks and SUVs as well as the 2007-2010 Jeep Wrangler JK. Using a generic punch or improvised tool risks deforming the bracket, which can make subsequent cam installation impossible and require costly bracket replacement. The 74910 eliminates this risk with two precisely machined heavy-duty steel punches included in a single kit.

The kit contains a center punch for use on older GM vehicles and the Jeep Wrangler JK, and an offset punch for use on newer GM models where the insert location requires an angled approach. Both punches are manufactured from heavy-duty steel for repeated professional shop use. Replacement punches are available individually: the offset punch as SPC #74914 and the center punch as SPC #74915. Designed and manufactured by SPC (Specialty Products Company) in Longmont, Colorado.
