• Universal fit - designed for drop-in installation into a compatible 16" fan shroud, deep enough to accommodate the fan. Suited to off-road racing, muscle cars, hot rods, and heavy-duty daily-driven applications.

Fitment Notes

• Drop-in mount - the fan sits partially inside the shroud. The shroud must be deep enough from the radiator to physically fit the fan; a 16.5-17" mounting hole is needed for the 16" blade.
• This is a Plus Series fan - it requires Plus Series-specific sensors and harnesses (SBL-YAZ-PT10 pigtail, SBL-TS-HARN, and a Plus Series temperature sensor). It is NOT compatible with SPAL's older Nuova series components, which use a different connector and wiring protocol.
• The "-PKG" suffix confirms this version includes the jumper harness bundled in. A temperature sensor and the SBL-YAZ-PT10/SBL-TS-HARN harnesses are still required and sold separately for full variable-speed operation.
• For multi-fan installs, only one temperature sensor and one SBL-TS-HARN are needed total, but a separate SBL-YAZ-PT10 pigtail is required for each individual fan. Up to 12 fans can run off a single sensor.

Product Description

The SPAL 30107101-PKG is the largest and most powerful fan in SPAL's compact Plus Series lineup covered here - a 500-watt, 16-inch drop-in brushless puller fan producing around 2,430 peak CFM. It's aimed at applications needing serious cooling capacity, from heavy-duty daily drivers to off-road race builds, where a single large fan needs to move significantly more air than the smaller 10-12" fans in this family can provide.

SPAL specifically chose an inner-rotor brushless motor design for this fan rather than an outer-rotor layout, since outer-rotor motors are more difficult to seal reliably - a deliberate durability decision that carries through the IP68/IP6K9K waterproof and dustproof rating shared across the Plus Series line. Like its smaller siblings, the fan mounts drop-in style, sitting partially inside the shroud, so the shroud needs enough depth to physically accommodate it.

For a complete variable-speed install, budget for the additional Plus Series components beyond the included jumper harness: an SBL-YAZ-PT10 pigtail harness per fan, an SBL-TS-HARN sensor harness, and a Plus Series temperature sensor sized to the target coolant temperature - all sold separately. If the customer is running multiple fans, only one sensor and one SBL-TS-HARN are needed across the whole system, but each fan still needs its own SBL-YAZ-PT10 pigtail. Just as important: this is strictly a Plus Series fan, and it will not work with SPAL's older Nuova series sensors or harnesses, which use an incompatible connector and wiring protocol.
