Product Description

The Skyjacker N8056 is a Nitro 8000 series shock absorber covering a wide range of classic and modern applications - from the 1966-1979 Ford Bronco and 1980-1986 F-250 to the 1987-1995 Jeep Wrangler YJ and 2005-2018 Toyota Tacoma. Depending on the application, it serves as either a front or rear shock at various lift heights. Charged with 150 PSI of nitrogen gas and built around a twin-tube DOM design, the N8056 delivers consistent, fade-free damping performance across all speeds and terrain types. The multi-stage velocity-sensitive valving adapts instantly - tightening up for highway stability and softening for off-road articulation.

The 14mm hardened double-chrome piston rod, oversized bonded iron piston, and leak-proof seal are engineered to outlast factory shocks in demanding environments. The stud upper mount (S1) and eye with sleeve lower mount (ES25) are vehicle-specific - always confirm position and lift height in the fitment table before ordering. Owners of 1978-1979 Ford Broncos with OE dual front shocks should note that forward-of-axle and behind-axle mounting positions have different application notes. Sold individually - two are required per axle.
