Product Description

The Skyjacker N8073 is a Nitro 8000 Series twin-tube, 150 PSI nitrogen gas-charged rear shock absorber built for the high-lift rear suspension needs of classic full-size Chevrolet and GMC K-Series 4WD trucks, SUVs, and Suburbans spanning model years 1973 through 1991. It covers the Chevrolet K10 and K20 Pickups (1973-1987), K30 Pickup (1977-1987), K10 and K20 Suburbans (1973-1986), Blazer and K5 Blazer (1973-1991), V10/V20/V30 and their Suburban variants (1987-1991), along with the GMC Jimmy (1973-1991), K1500/K2500/K3500 Pickup and Suburban counterparts, and V-Series trucks and Suburbans through 1991. On most of these platforms, N8073 is sized for 4.5 to 8 inches of rear lift. On the heavier-duty K30/K3500 applications, it covers a 2-4 in. rear lift range.

At 29.83 in. extended and 17.32 in. collapsed with a calculated stroke of approximately 12.51 in., the N8073 is the longer, higher-lift companion to the N8053 (27.07/15.94, 2-4 in. lift) within the same Nitro 8000 family for the K-Series platform. The 150 PSI nitrogen charge suppresses fluid foaming and fade during sustained off-road use, while the velocity-sensitive valving adapts continuously to rear axle inputs.
