The Skyjacker N8063 is a Nitro 8000 Series twin-tube, 150 PSI nitrogen gas-charged rear shock absorber with two defining characteristics that set it apart from others in the Nitro 8000 line: a slim 2-inch body diameter and a Bar Pin (top) / Eyelet-Sleeve (bottom) mount configuration. These design specifics make it the correct rear shock for the 1984-2001 Jeep Cherokee XJ at 6-8 in. of rear lift, across both 2WD and 4WD variants, and for the 1997-2006 Jeep Wrangler TJ at 6-8 in. of rear lift. The slim body is required by the tight rear shock clearances of both platforms at extreme lift heights - a standard-diameter shock will not fit correctly in these applications.

At 27.07 in. extended and 15.94 in. collapsed with an 11.28 in. stroke, the N8063 is sized for the expanded rear axle travel of 6 to 8 inches of rear suspension lift on these Jeep platforms.
