Product Description

The Skyjacker D400S is a Softride Front Leaf Spring delivering 3 to 4 inches of front suspension lift for Dodge W-Series 4WD trucks and SUVs spanning the 1961-1993 production run - one of the longest-tenured platforms in Skyjacker's leaf spring catalog. The fitment covers the full range of Dodge solid front axle 4WD configurations sold under the W100, W150, W200, and W250 designations, as well as the Ramcharger and the Plymouth Trailduster, all of which share compatible front spring perch geometry. It is the mid-height front spring option within Skyjacker's D-series Softride lineup for these platforms, positioned between the D200S (2.5 in.) and the D600S (6 in.).

The D400S is built on Skyjacker's Softride technology: each leaf is tapered along its full length to create a progressive rate that generates more flex at the ends than a conventional constant-thickness leaf, producing a more compliant on-road ride without sacrificing the load capacity or spring rate needed for off-road durability and towing. Individual leaves are shot-peened with hard steel pellets to increase tensile strength, and bolt-style spring clips replace the friction-inducing cinch-style clips used in conventional designs. The spring is then fully pre-compressed under hydraulic pressure to preset the arch and minimize sag in service. A baked-on powder coat protects against corrosion in demanding off-road environments.

The D400S is sold as a single spring - two are required for a complete front axle installation.
