Product Description

The Skyjacker J34FS Softride Front Lift Leaf Spring is engineered to deliver 3.5-4 inches of front suspension lift on 1955-1975 Jeep CJ5 and CJ6 platforms equipped with 4WD. Built from American steel and processed through Skyjacker's shot-peening procedure - in which hard steel pellets are propelled at high velocity against each leaf surface - these springs achieve a substantially higher tensile strength than untreated springs. This surface compression is what enables the Softride design to deliver maximum wheel travel and superior ride quality without sacrificing the longevity of the spring pack, a balance that factory and conventional aftermarket springs cannot consistently achieve.

The Softride construction incorporates two performance-defining features that separate it from standard leaf spring designs. Bolt-style spring clips replace the conventional cinch-style bend clips found on most OEM springs. Where cinch clips clamp tightly over the leaves and generate friction and binding throughout suspension travel, bolt-style clips allow the spring pack to move freely across its full range of motion. Additionally, each leaf is tapered along its entire length rather than only at the tips. This full-length taper directs flex toward the leaf ends where it is most beneficial, while spreading load stress across a broader surface area to reduce wear between individual leaves.

The J34FS is sold as a single spring - two units are required for a complete front installation. The Skyjacker SE34J Spring Bushing Kit is required separately to complete the pair, and the optional UCJF U-Bolt Kit is available for use with an OEM axle on 1955-1986 CJ and Scrambler applications. For builds running heavy overland accessories, winch bumpers, or engine swaps, Skyjacker's optional FLJ34FS Fitted Leaf can be added inside the spring pack to increase load capacity without changing lift height. This spring is compatible only with 4WD-equipped CJ5 and CJ6 models - confirm drivetrain configuration before ordering.
