The Skyjacker J32FS Softride is a front lifted leaf spring delivering 2 to 2.5 inches of front lift for the early-generation Jeep CJ platform spanning 1955 through 1975 - from the original Willys-era CJ5 introduced in 1955 through the AMC-era CJ5 and CJ6 that ran through 1975. This encompasses the entire pre-1976 front-suspension generation of these Jeeps, which shared a consistent front spring mounting geometry across the Kaiser Willys, Kaiser Jeep, and early AMC ownership periods. The 1976 model year brought significant frame, windshield, and body tub changes that created a hard break in part compatibility - J32FS is exclusively for the 1955-1975 platform; post-1975 CJ5 and all CJ7/Scrambler applications use the J20FSB series instead.

The Softride design addresses the core mechanical weaknesses of traditional leaf spring construction. Shot-peening each individual leaf raises its tensile strength to accommodate the higher wheel travel and stress demands of lifted applications.
