The Skyjacker H7027 Hydro 7000 is a rear shock absorber with one of the widest compatibility ranges in the Skyjacker catalog, spanning GM full-size trucks and SUVs from 2002 through 2018, Dodge W-Series and Ramcharger from 1961 through 1993, Dodge Ram 1500 from 1994 through 2001, Toyota Pickup and 4Runner from 1984 through 1995, first-generation Toyota Tacoma from 1995 through 2004, Mazda B2600 from 1987 through 1993, and Plymouth Trailduster from 1975 through 1981 - all in 4WD configuration at the rear position. This breadth is made possible by the shared eyelet/sleeve rear mount geometry that these platforms use, allowing a single precisely-dimensioned shock to serve applications across multiple decades and manufacturers.

On the GM side, the H7027 covers two generations of the full-size 1500 platform (GMT800 2007 and GMT900 2008-2017 for Silverado/Sierra, plus the GMT900 Suburban, Tahoe, Yukon, and their Cadillac Escalade equivalents), as well as the heavy-duty Silverado/Sierra 2500 HD and 3500 HD through 2018 at the rear. On the Dodge/Chrysler side, it serves the entire run of W-Series solid-axle 4WD trucks from the 1961 model year through the end of production in 1993, plus the Ramcharger and Plymouth Trailduster sport utilities, and the early BR-platform Ram 1500 through 2001.

The H7027 uses Skyjacker's Hydro 7000 hydraulic damping technology: a non-gas-charged twin-tube design with an orifice disk and true velocity-sensitive valving that adjusts resistance in response to actual suspension speed.
