The Skyjacker H7003 Hydro 7000 is a front shock absorber serving the 1999-2007 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500, the 2000-2005 Suburban 1500, Tahoe, Yukon, and Yukon XL 1500/2500, the 2002-2006 Cadillac Escalade lineup and Chevrolet Avalanche 1500, and the 2006-2010 Hummer H3 - all in 4WD configuration. It is a stock-height direct replacement shock, designed as a quality upgrade over the OEM unit using Skyjacker's Hydro 7000 hydraulic technology rather than the basic damping of a standard factory replacement.

The Hydro 7000 is a non-gas-charged hydraulic shock built around true velocity-sensitive valving via an orifice disk - a design that reads actual suspension speed and adjusts damping resistance in real time. Under highway conditions with smooth surfaces and gradual suspension inputs, the orifice allows fluid to flow with minimal restriction for a compliant, comfortable ride.
