Product Description

The Skyjacker B8548 is a Black MAX Advanced Foam Cell Hydraulic rear shock absorber engineered for the 2005-2023 Toyota Tacoma 4WD and PreRunner 2WD, and the 2000-2006 Toyota Tundra 4WD. It uses foam-cell technology to prevent oil aeration during high-heat operation, maintaining consistent damping performance on extended off-road runs and rough terrain. The twin-tube design delivers increased fluid capacity for better heat management, while the chrome-plated shaft and sintered iron piston with orifice control disk provide smooth, precise damping on and off the road.

The B8548 is designed for stock height through 1 in. of rear lift on the Tacoma, and 1-2.5 in. of lift on the Tundra. For Tacoma applications with 1.5-3 in. of rear lift, use PN B8545; for 3-5 in. lifts, use PN B8557. Note that the 2024+ Tacoma uses a different platform and is not supported by this shock.
