The Skyjacker B8537 Black MAX Twin-Tube Shock Absorber is purpose-engineered as a rear shock for the 2007-2018 Jeep Wrangler JK - covering every trim level, body configuration, and drivetrain variant of the JK platform, from the base X to the Rubicon, and from 2-Door to 4-Door Unlimited. It is specifically sized and valved for rear suspension lifts in the 2.0 to 3.5 inch range, making it an ideal match for the Skyjacker 2.5 in. Softride lift kit, the 3.5 in. standard system, and most third-party coil spring lift kits that fall within this height range. The B8537 is built around Skyjacker's Advanced Foam-Cell technology - a Low-Pro foam insert that compensates for oil expansion under heat, maintaining consistent damping output throughout the full operating temperature range. The foam-cell design also eliminates air from the hydraulic fluid, allowing the shock to be mounted in any direction without fade or cavitation during hard trail use.

Internally, the B8537 uses vehicle-specific multi-stage StableSteer valving calibrated to the rebound and compression demands of the JK at lifted ride heights.
