The Skyjacker B8554 Black MAX Front Shock Absorber is engineered to improve front suspension damping and control across a wide range of classic trucks, SUVs, and pickups. Featuring advanced foam-cell technology, the hydraulic twin-tube design compensates for internal oil expansion under heat, maintaining consistent performance from street to off-road conditions. With 360° arc-welded end mounts and a chrome-plated shaft, this shock delivers durability and strength where you need it most.

Designed for a variety of applications - including 1980-1996 Ford F-150, older Ford F-250/F-350 4WD, early International Scout and Scout II models, 1980s-'90s Ford Rangers and Mazda B4000, and late '90s Dodge Dakota 4WD - the B8554 fits vehicles with stock suspension or moderate lift heights (up to approximately 4" depending on model). Its 180° directional mounting capability lets installers choose the most convenient orientation. Sold individually, two shocks are typically required for a complete front suspension setup to restore ride performance after wear or a lift install.
