Fitment Notes

• Designed for 3/4-ton 4WD Suburban models equipped with 56 in. rear leaf springs only
• For 4WD straight axle front end vehicles only - not compatible with IFS models
• Pitman Arm and Steering Arm required for proper steering geometry at 8 in. lift - sold separately
• Transfer Case Lowering Kit (TCL15) required - sold separately
• Front OEM Sway Bar equipped vehicles require Sway Bar Lowering Bracket 6-8 in. (SBL40) - sold separately

Product Description

The Skyjacker C180BKSD8-N is a complete 8 in. Softride suspension lift system built specifically for 1988-1991 Chevrolet and GMC 3/4-ton 4WD Suburban models (V20/V2500) equipped with 56 in. rear leaf springs. This is the 3/4-ton counterpart to the C180AKSD8-N, sharing the same generation range and rear spring specification but engineered for the heavier 3/4-ton platform. Skyjacker's Softride leaf springs use tapered leaves with Teflon wear pads and bolt-style clips to reduce friction throughout the pack, while shot-peening increases the tensile strength of the spring steel for lasting durability under load.

The kit pairs the Softride springs with Nitro 8000 gas-charged shocks, 2 in. rear lift blocks, front and rear U-bolt kits, a bushing kit, and brake line bracketry - covering the core lift installation. At 8 inches of lift, a Pitman Arm, Steering Arm, and Transfer Case Lowering Kit (TCL15) are required for safe operation. Vehicles with an OEM front sway bar also need the SBL40 lowering bracket. Big Block and Diesel models require FLC180 fitted leafs, and 3/4-ton models should use the recommended brake lines (FBL29 front, RBL20 rear). A Dual Steering Stabilizer is also strongly recommended.
