Product Description

The Skyjacker C180AKSD8-N is a complete 8 in. Softride suspension lift system purpose-built for 1988-1991 Chevrolet and GMC 1/2-ton 4WD Suburban models equipped with 56 in. rear leaf springs. It represents the next-generation counterpart to the C180AKSD-N, updated for the 1988-1991 OBS-era Suburban chassis. Pairing Skyjacker's Softride leaf springs with Nitro 8000 gas-charged shocks, this system delivers a significant lift with far less harshness than conventional spring designs. The tapered-leaf Softride springs use Teflon wear pads and bolt-style clips to reduce interleaf friction, while shot-peening strengthens the steel for long-term durability.

The kit ships with front and rear leaf springs, Nitro shocks, front and rear U-bolt kits, a bushing kit, 2 in. rear blocks, and brake line bracketry - everything needed for the core lift installation. At 8 inches of lift, additional parts are required before the vehicle is safe to drive: a Pitman Arm, Steering Arm, and Transfer Case Lowering Kit (TCL15). Vehicles with a factory front sway bar also need the SBL40 lowering bracket. Big Block and Diesel equipped models require the FLC180 front fitted leafs. A Dual Steering Stabilizer is highly recommended for this lift height. All components are powder-coated black and covered by Skyjacker's Limited Lifetime Warranty.
