• Designed for use with 56 in. rear leaf springs - fits Suburban and 56 in. rear spring-equipped models only

• Transfer Case Lowering Kit (TCL15) required - sold separately

The Skyjacker C180AKSD-N is a complete 8 in. Softride suspension lift system engineered for 1973-1987 Chevrolet and GMC 1/2-ton 4WD trucks, Blazers, Jimmys, and Suburbanswith 56 in. rear leaf springs. It delivers a massive lift on the classic straight-axle GM platform, pairing Skyjacker's Softride leaf springs with Nitro 8000 gas-charged shocks for a system that performs hard off-road while maintaining a controlled, comfortable ride on the street. The Softride springs use tapered leaves with Teflon wear pads and bolt-style clips to minimize friction, while shot-peening increases steel strength for long-term durability under demanding use.

This is a complete system that includes front and rear leaf springs, Nitro shocks, U-bolt kits, brake line bracketry, a bushing kit, and all necessary hardware. At 8 inches of lift, several additional components are required for a safe, complete installation: the Pitman Arm (CA50), Steering Arm (CA100 or GMDL4 for 4-bolt closed knuckle models), and Transfer Case Lowering Kit (TCL15). Vehicles with a factory front sway bar also need the SBL40 lowering bracket. Big Block and Diesel models require additional fitted leafs (FLC180).
