The Skyjacker C280AKS-B is an 8-inch front and rear Softride suspension lift kit for 1969-1972 GM 4WD trucks, pairing the C280S front leaf spring with the CR18S rear leaf spring and upgrading to Skyjacker's Black MAX shocks in place of the standard hydro shock option. This is Skyjacker's largest lift height in the 69-72 GM Softride lineup, intended for owners running significantly larger tires or building a dedicated off-road rig rather than a mild street lift.

Both springs use Skyjacker's Softride bolt-clip construction, which cuts down on the binding and friction that traditional cinch-clip leaf packs are prone to, especially once a truck this old is pushed into serious articulation. The Black MAX shocks add firmer, more controlled damping suited to that kind of use, versus the softer factory-style ride of the hydro shock option in the sibling "-H" kit.
