Product Description

The Skyjacker B8387 is a Black MAX twin-tube foam-cell rear shock absorber for the 2018-2026 Jeep Wrangler JL and 2020-2026 Jeep Gladiator JT. It is the rear counterpart to the B8386 front shock. The valving is tuned specifically for the JL/JT rear suspension geometry - with 2-3 inch of rear lift using standard linear coil springs or spacers, or 1-1.5 inch of rear lift in long-travel coil spring systems where the front carries a 3-4 inch lift.

The foam-cell insert is the defining feature of the Black MAX platform: as the shock heats up under sustained use, the compressible foam-cell compensates for thermal oil expansion, maintaining consistent damping through the full operating temperature range. This addresses the fade and cavitation that degrade standard twin-tube performance under hard use without the steering-feel trade-offs of high-pressure gas-charged designs.
