Fitment Notes

• Fits the front shock position only; all supported applications are 4WD S10/S15 compact pickup trucks
• Sold individually - purchase two (2) for a complete front axle replacement
• This shock is designed for factory height through 3 inches of front suspension lift on the 1994-1998 S10/S15 4WD compact pickup platform
• Shock must be mounted body-down - this is required for proper hydraulic operation of the Hydro 7000 series; incorrect mounting orientation will cause inconsistent damping performance
• Does NOT fit the S10 Blazer or GMC Jimmy (1994-1998) - these are different platforms with different front shock mounting geometry
• Does NOT fit the GMC Sonoma Highrider - the Highrider uses a different suspension configuration incompatible with this shock
• Upper and lower mounts use the ES82 Hourglass/Sleeve bushing hardware (1 x 5/8 in. hourglass bushing + 1 x ES82 sleeve at 1.62 in.) - all mounting hardware is included

Product Description

The Skyjacker H7082 Hydro 7000 is the front shock absorber for the 1994-1998 Chevrolet S10 and GMC S15 4WD compact pickup, covering factory ride height through 3 inches of front suspension lift. The compact 19.32 in. extended and 12.01 in. compressed dimensions are specific to the front shock travel geometry of this platform at this lift range - the H7082 is not interchangeable with the S10 Blazer, GMC Jimmy, or the GMC Sonoma Highrider, which use different front suspension configurations. The unique ES82 Loop upper and lower mounting hardware (hourglass bushing with 1.62 in. sleeve) matches the factory front shock mount geometry of the S10/S15 4WD pickup directly.

Like all Hydro 7000 shocks, the H7082 uses non-gas-charged hydraulic damping with orifice disk and velocity-sensitive valving to adjust resistance in real time based on suspension speed. This makes it well suited to the mixed on-road and light off-road use profile typical of lifted S10/S15 4WD trucks: compliant and comfortable over small road imperfections and smooth terrain, firmer and more controlled over potholes, gravel, and mild off-road conditions. A critical installation requirement for this shock - shared with all Hydro 7000 series shocks - is that it must be mounted body-down; inverted installation will compromise hydraulic performance.
