Product Description

The Skunk2 309-10-0200 is a 64mm Pro Series billet throttle body for the 1999-2005 Mazda MX-5 Miata NB (BP-4W / Z3 1.8L). Designed as a direct bolt-on replacement for the factory throttle body on the OEM intake manifold, this throttle body upgrades the bore diameter to 64mm - significantly larger than the factory unit - to remove the throttle body as an airflow restriction point on modified engine builds. It is engineered to bolt directly to the factory NB intake manifold without manifold replacement, and uses the factory throttle cable without modification.

The throttle body is CNC-machined from forged billet 6061-T6 aluminum and finished with Skunk2's signature hard anodize for corrosion resistance and surface durability. Sealed bearings reduce butterfly shaft friction for smooth, consistent throttle plate operation. The upgraded shaft improves durability in both naturally aspirated and forced induction builds. Skunk2 used CAE tools in the design process to optimize airflow geometry while retaining smooth throttle response and OEM-like drivability. Performance gains are most significant on heavily modified naturally aspirated and forced induction applications. Not CARB legal - off-road/race use only in California. Hardware and gasket included.
