The Skunk2 Racing 661-05-0200 is a complete head stud kit engineered specifically for the Honda L15B7 1.5L turbocharged engine found in the 2016-2021 Honda Civic and 2017-2021 Civic Si. As forced induction builds push beyond stock power levels, factory head bolts become a liability - they stretch under elevated cylinder pressure, suffer from combined torsional and tensile stress during installation, and can allow head gasket lift under sustained boost. A properly engineered head stud kit eliminates these failure modes by loading the fastener in pure tension rather than combining clamping and twisting forces simultaneously.

Skunk2's head stud manufacturing process applies cold-forging for maximum material grain density, heat treatment for fatigue resistance, and precision thread rolling - which compresses and work-hardens the thread roots rather than cutting material away.
