The SHW Performance BRL48071 is a rear left cross-drilled lightweight brake rotor engineered as a direct OEM-equivalent replacement for the 2006-2010 BMW M5 (E60) and M6 (E63/E64), replacing OEM part number 34212282807. SHW Performance jointly developed its Pin-Drive rotor technology with BMW Motorsport in 1993 - the same engineering that went into standard-fit brake rotors on BMW M-series vehicles - and is the only brake disc manufacturer to encompass every step of production entirely in-house. The BRL48071 is the identical OEM-specification part made available directly to the consumer.

At 370 x 24 mm, this two-piece Pin-Drive rotor is engineered for the rear axle of the S85 5.0L naturally aspirated V10 - the legendary engine that produces its 500 hp at 7,750 rpm and demands a braking system capable of repeated, high-temperature stops from high speed. The cross-drilled face promotes cooling airflow and consistent pad bite, while the lightweight aluminium bell and Pin-Drive floating construction reduce rotational and unsprung mass versus conventional one-piece designs. The offset pin connection maximizes central cooling channel airflow for up to 50% better heat dissipation. This is the rear left (driver side) rotor only - the right side is sold separately as BRR48081. Two rotors are required for a complete rear axle service. A proper break-in bedding procedure is required after installation.
