Fitment Notes

Product Description

The Rywire RY-DIS-PRELUDE-2-1 is a plug-and-play distributor adapter that converts the OBD2 distributor and crank sensor plugs found on the 1996-2001 USDM Honda Prelude (H22A) to mate with a 1992-1995 OBD1 distributor connector. This is an essential adapter for Prelude owners running an OBD1 ECU - such as a chipped P13 or similar - who need their OBD2 distributor wiring to communicate correctly with the older OBD1 ignition system. No cutting, splicing, or permanent harness modification is required.

A jumper fuse is included to handle the external-to-internal coil conversion for builds upgrading distributor type. It is important to note that USDM OBD2 computers may trigger a cam sensor code due to a different trigger wheel pattern on the Prelude distributor; Rywire and the Honda community recommend pairing this adapter with an OBD1 or JDM computer for the cleanest and most reliable tune. This adapter does not fit 1998 and later Honda Accord models despite sharing some platform similarities.
